Before I get any complaints that my choices suck or that I'm wrong - I am not a music critic, I just like what I like.
5. Ferry Corsten — Twice in a Blue Moon (Remix Edition)
I wasn't going to list this one, because really when I hear it I really just wanna play the originals instead, but as a Ferry Corsten fan I love hearing his beats remixed into something new.
4. Thorns of Life — Live at 924 Gilman Street
I know, I know, it doesn't really count because it wasn't an actual album - it's a bootleg of the one live show they did before breaking up. But I miss Jets to Brazil and Jawbreaker so much that it is impossible for me to be impartial. So on the list it goes, with a hope that next year I'll be putting a forgetters album on this list. A real one.
3. Phoenix — Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix
Good good good stuff. The songs are increasingly addictive, but nothing matches the energy they have going with "Listzomania" the first song on the album. Keep an eye on these guys.
2. Royksopp — Junior
Oh man, this is just a fun album, pure and simple. They proved they don't have to be in the "didn't they do the GEICO Caveman commercial?" shadow.
1. ATB — Future Memories
ATB is by far my favorite DJ, and I was excited when I learned he was going to release an album this year. As a fangirl my judgment is severely clouded, but damn I love this album.
